Indiana police arrested Joseph Oberhansley—a convicted killer on parole—last week in connection to the killing of Tammy Jo Blanton, who was stabbed to death in her Jeffersonville home. Oberhansley reportedly admitted to police that he ate part of Blanton's brain, heart, and lungs after killing her. "He further admitted to cooking a section of her brain and eating it," the arrest reported obtained by WAVE reads.

Blanton apparently called police at 3 a.m. last Thursday to complain that Oberhansley was trying to get into her house. Police were dispatched to the scene and sent Oberhansley home. When they were called back to the house at 10 a.m., they found a grisly scene.

Officers allegedly found Blanton's bloody body in the bathtub, WAVE reports, with parts of her skull removed. It's currently unclear how Oberhansley and Blanton were involved.

According to WBIW, Oberhansley had previously been convicted for the killing of his 17-year-old girlfriend and shooting her mother near Salt Lake City in 1998. He was free on parole after serving a 13-year prison sentence.
