Cancer Patients Surprised with Ridiculous Makeovers
They say laughter is the best medicine.
Actually, medicine is the best medicine, but laughter can certainly help.
That's the mission statement of the Mimi Foundation — an organization dedicated to "the improvement of the quality of life of people affected by cancer."
For its latest project, "If Only for a Second," Mimi invited 20 cancer patients to undergo a "unique makeover experience" free of charge.
They were invited to a photo studio and put at the disposal of professional hair and makeup stylists with a single condition: They had to keep their eyes closed the entire time.
"A photographer then immortalized the moment they opened their eyes," the foundation writes in the video's description. "This discovery allowed them to forget their illness, if only for a second."
