The nine bikers killed in Sunday’s gang shootout in Waco, Texas, have reportedly been identified. Meanwhile, police have offered a new theory for what might have triggered the deadly brawl: a run over foot.

KWTX reports that the nine bikers died from gunshot wounds to the torso or the head. All were members of either the Bandidos or the Cossacks. The station identified the victims as Jesus Delgado Rodriguez, 65; Jacob Lee Rhyne, 39; Richard Vincent Kirshner, Jr., 47; Richard Matthew Jordan, III, 31; Wayne Lee Campbell, 43; Daniel Raymond Boyett, 44; Matthew Mark Smith, 27; Manuel Issac Rodriguez, 40 and Charles Wayne Russell, 46.

At a press conference this afternoon, Waco Police Sgt. Patrick Swanton elaborated on earlier statements that the conflict might have started in the parking lot of the Twin Peaks restaurant.

“I have additional information this morning that may go beyond a parking incident to somebody had their foot run over and started the disturbance in the parking lot,” he said, according to the New York Post.

Swanton also said a third bike gang crashed a meeting between the Cossacks and Bandidos.

“We know an additional biker gang that was not invited to this meeting showed up,” he said. “Hence, what we were calling somewhat of a turf war, if you will.”

At least 170 bikers were arrested after the brawl; all are being held on bail of $1 million on murder-related charges.
