On Facebook, presidential candidate Deez Nuts (a.k.a. 15-year-old Brady Olson) endorsed Democrat Bernie Sanders and Republican John Kasich for their parties’ respective nominations. “This is not for the general election,” he clarified. “I endorse myself for the GE.”

“My endorsement for the Democratic nomination goes to Vermont senator Bernie Sanders,” Nuts wrote in one post. And, in another: “For the Republican nomination, my endorsement goes to Ohio governor John Kasich.”

Asked why he backed Sanders, Nuts told In These Times, “Because he almost completely agrees on me with social issues and even some on fiscal issues.” Asked whether he thought his endorsement would make a difference one way or another: “Not really.”
