It is with a mixture of joy and dread that I've watched the livestream camera at Abbey Road Studios for the past several minutes. There can't be that many people taking that picture, again and again, all the time, you think to yourself, but there are. It never stops.

Sometimes, it seems like maybe the people crossing the street aren't taking a photo op—they're just crossing the street. But inevitably, a camera comes out, the cars on the road are totally disregarded, and legs start falling perfectly in stride. (In the time between stumbling across the feed and writing this post, the sun has gone down over there, so it's a little slower at the moment.)

It's a little uplifting and a little sad, this parade of humans, coming together to vie for the same transcendent shot. Something in the way they move, I guess. The end.
