Roxanne Rimer was arrested by police two weeks ago about 10 miles away from the Pennsylvania Kohl's she is accused of shoplifting from. After she was handcuffed and put into the back of a police car, she managed to climb through the partition and drive off. Police released the impressive dashcam footage today.

Police were called to the Kohl's store in Monaca, Pa. Jan. 15 after store security reportedly caught Rimer, 27, shoplifting. From the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette:

After Rimer allegedly stole from the store, she shoved the store's loss prevention officer and fled to a car in the store's parking lot, where her mother and grandfather were, and tried to get them to leave, said Center police Chief Barry Kramer.

Rimer started going "out of control" when her grandfather, who was driving, tried to stop the car, the chief said. She managed to get her foot on the accelerator and drove the car out of the parking lot, over a hillside, down Route 18. Police were able to stop the car, and Rimer was handcuffed and put into the back of a police cruiser, the chief said.

Apparently undaunted by her hands handcuffed behind her back, Rimer then climbed through the 11.5" X 12.25" glass partition in the cop car, shifted the gear into drive, and sped off, ramming her way through her grandfather's car and another police cruiser to escape. Center Township Police Chief Barry Kramer told WXPI Kimer was speeding at 100 MPH down Route 51.

At one point in the dashcam footage obtained by WXPI, Rimer stops the car to ask a pedestrian walking along the road to help her drive (he declines). At the end of the nine minute clip, she can be seen abandoning the car.

Someone eventually picked Rimer up, who later "either jumped out of that vehicle or the vehicle dropped her off in Aliquippa, and Aliquippa police picked her up still in handcuffs," Kramer told the the TV station.

Police say they intend to charge Rimer with aggravated assault, robbery, reckless endangerment, theft of a motor vehicle, possession of drug paraphernalia (she was found with heroin needles), and "several traffic violations."
