I suspect some of these folk are working very hard to convince themselves this bullshit is true. They can't handle the fact that some of the stuff in their holy books is provably untrue.

Which is kind of funny seeing how Christianity has so many different sects because someone saw a fallacy in the way they were worshipping and formed a new version of the same religion. Each new sect admits that the previous incarnation was wrong in some way while promoting their ways as the true path to redemption. If it wasn't disrupting the education system and government it would be funny as hell.

I live (too) close to this place, so it's been popping up on my local news lately. They're shilling for money, so they thought this was the best way to get more tickets sold. Not, y'know, on the strength of their "Museum," but for some unrelated attraction. The self-awareness is - not surprisingly - low with this group.
Also this story makes me happy. God's wrath ftw.
