Is this photo, which surfaced mysteriously online Monday and was immediately employed by the Pro Era rap crew to promote their official merchandise on Instagram, in fact a photo of Malia Obama, or just a very very very close doppelgänger?

Was it taken in the White House? Was it taken in the Lincoln Bedroom? Was it taken in the Aspen Lodge at Camp David? Was it taken in the hidden Hall of Records inside Mt. Rushmore? Did she take it to post to a secret Instagram account? Did she take it to send to Noah J., the most popular senior at Sidwell Friends? Did you know Malia Obama has double ear piercings? Does it have a filter? Was it taken on her laptop? Or was it taken on Sasha's laptop because Malia lost her laptop privileges after being put on punishment for private reasons?

We've reached out to both Joey Bada$$ and the White House for more information, and will update when we hear back.

UPDATE (12:27 p.m.): A representative for Joey Bada$$ said in an email to Gawker that Pro Era received the photo from "a mutual friend of Malia and the pro era member."
