Accused Rapist Cee Lo Green Defends Accused Rapist Bill Cosby
Bill Cosby, accused of sexually assaulting more than 20 women, has found a totally expected ally in singer Cee Lo Green, who pleaded no contest earlier this year to putting ecstasy in a woman's drink, and then asserted "Women who have really been raped REMEMBER!!!" Definitely the guy you want on your team.
"It doesn't seem fair," said Cee Lo, that people are interpreting Cosby's near-silence on the dozens of allegations as evidence of his guilt.
"But you can't defend yourself in that capacity, you know what I'm sayin'? You just have to let facts be facts, and so on and so forth ... none of this seems fair. It's just unfortunate because he's so beloved to so many people," the "Fuck You" singer told TMZ.
Cee Lo apologized in September for tweeting some truly shitty ideas about what constitutes rape, including "if someone is passed out, they're not even WITH you consciously! so WITH implies consent."
The accuser in Cee Lo's case told police that after he drugged her drink, she woke up naked with him the next morning and couldn't remember what happened.
Several of Cosby's accusers claim the comedian gave them pills and assaulted them while they were disoriented.
