Or they just have more disposable income than you or I. Also, they cost about 14 at most, not sure where you got your 15-20 bucks a pack # there Jethro. I quit, but not because of the cost. I've been hearing for a while that they might cause cancer.

But you kind of solidify the point I was going for...you said you didn't quit because of cost, but health reasons. BTW congrats...I also quit recently, but I'm in LA so my costs were around 5.50/pack.
With smoking, cost is never an issue. People who smoke will pay to get their fix.

Calling them "fucking retards" for being addicted to a substance you were once addicted to seems a tad hypocritical, no? Yes, addicts don't factor in the cost of their addiction, it's one sure fire way to classify their habit as an actual addiction.

It's interesting that tobacco usage has decreased substantially over the last fifty years, even though it has been totally legal and sold over-the-counter for the entire time. Meanwhile the use of illegal drugs has risen dramatically during the same time span.
Maybe that's because cigs are hella expensive these days. I don't smoke or do drugs so I don't know for sure, but maybe the drugs are competitively priced?
