After two gay men were found strangled in Queens within one week of each other, a City Council member is warning members of the LGBT community that a killer may be targeting them.

On February 3, a man was found dead in a building on 91st street; one week later, on February 10, another man was killed in the Crown Motor Inn on Queens Boulevard. Both were middle-aged gay men; both were strangled. In neither case was there an indication of struggle.

Daniel Dromm, whose district includes Jackson Heights and Elmhurst, will hold a press conference today, at which he will urge the LGBT community to use "caution when using online dating services and when meeting someone for the first time."
