Jimmy Kimmel had to expect some head-butting over his recent move to 11:35 PM, but it's probably safe to assume he didn't expect to be clashing with Will Ferrell and Ryan Gosling.

But that's exactly what happened on last night's show, when the two stopped by to shoot their weekly QVC knife show.

It seems Jimmy didn't know he'd be cutting into Ferrell and Gosling's studio time, even though everybody knows the Knife Guys is taped at 11:30 every Wednesday, and it's clearly marked on the sign-in sheet.

The conflict is resolved fairly quickly, however, after the Knife Guys is forced off the air by "technical difficulties."

By which I mean significant blood loss.
