Ten Minutes of Porn Air During Swedish News Broadcast as Reporter Prattles On About Syria

Sweden's newly launched 24-hour news network TV4 News appeared to be heralding a new age of media sensationalism when it treated viewers to ten full minutes of softcore porn earlier this week.
"At first I realized I was looking at a naked woman and it quickly became clear she was having sex," student Danyal Ek told The Local.
The unsolicited skin flick appeared in the background of an anchor's interview with the channel's Moscow correspondent on the Russian response to a speech by Syrian president Bashar al-Assad.
"The image wasn't exactly in focus, but it wasn't hard to figure out what was going on," said Ek, who noted that the sex scene lasted for approximately ten minutes — the entire length of the segment.
Reached for comment by Expressen, TV4 news editor Andreas Haglind said a pornographic film had indeed aired on the channel inadvertently.
He explained that a TV4-owned station that occasionally shows erotic movies happened to be on the background, and no one noticed.
"Put simply, it's crap that it happened," Haglind said. "We're going to do everything we can so that it doesn't happen again."
