Sure, Anderson Cooper may have bombs falling all around him threatening his very existence — but that doesn't mean he's about to let some random person get away with saying something bad about him on the Internet.

The intrepid CNN reporter, who is currently on assignment in Gaza — the heart of Middle East hostilities — tweeted yesterday about an Israeli airstrike on the media center building in Gaza City — the second such strike in just a few hours.

Considering Cooper's wide renown, he likely receives all sorts of responses to each of his status updates. But, in this case, one particular reply caught his attention — a knock on his credibility from one Pamela Weiss, a self-proclaimed "social media junkie" and "chocoholic" from Los Angeles.

"Report a fair story. Report facts," Weiss admonished Cooper. "Ummmm.... I just did that and have been doing that repeatedly on twitter and on tv," Cooper shot back. "Do you actually think before you tweet?"

Meow.

You'd think the exchange would end there, what with Cooper being in the middle of a war zone and all, but you'd be happily wrong.

After skimming through Weiss's Twitter timeline, Cooper tacked on a personal dig: "perhaps spend less time tweeting about coconut flan and more time actually following the news."

Get the fuck out of Gaza, Anderson! You're a national treasure.
