Caught On Camera: Cop Brawls with Clown Outside Milwaukee City Hall
Milwaukee resident Mitch Cooper says he was minding his own business, driving past City Hall, when, out of the corner of his eye, he saw a police officer approach a man dressed as a clown and knew some shit was about to go down.
Cooper pulled out his cell phone and trained it on the bizarre scene just in time to catch the clown take a swing at the cop. The officer struck back, and a brawl ensued.
"The clown was resisting so the cop needed to do what he needed to do to make sure he was safe," Cooper told KABC. "It was funny to witness, probably not so fun for the clown, but as a spectator it was pretty entertaining."
Though his name was not released, WISN identified the clown as a local civic activist who is "often spotted outside government buildings." Apparently police had received several complains that the man was chasing after cars with a squirt gun.
He was arrested and booked on charges of disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.
