Romney Campaign Chair John Sununu Thinks Colin Powell Endorsed Obama Because He's Black
Drama in the Piers Morgan playpen! In an interview this evening, John Sununu, former New Hampshire Republican governor and Romney campaign co-chair, told Morgan the real reason why General Colin Powell endorsed Obama this morning: their skin colors match. Duh.
In the interview, Sununu does his best impression of a digested bear-claw donut with a vague interest in economics, then goes on to say:
Frankly, when you take a look at Colin Powell, you have to wonder whether that's an endorsement based on issues or whether he's got a slightly different reason for preferring President Obama.
Morgan: What reason would that be?
Sununu: I think that when you have somebody of your own race that your proud of being President of the United States—I applaud Colin for standing with him.
The only explanation for this racist remark by Sununu, and his choice to ignore Powell's very detailed explanation of why he's endorsing Barack Obama, is because Sununu will do anything to get someone like himself—a person who enjoys exploiting government loopholes for his own benefit—elected as president. We applaud Sununu for standing with Romney.
