Everyone can stop worrying: debate expert President Barack Obama has finally weighed in on the Nicki Minaj-Mariah Carey American Idol feud. During an interview with something called "The Yo Show," the president said the following:

"I think that they are going to be able to sort it out, I am confident," the president said. "I'm all about bringing people together, working for the same cause. I think both outstanding artists are going to be able to make sure that they're moving forward and not going backwards."

Glad to see he didn't miss the chance to add a campaign slogan in there. He also ducked a question about which of the two is his favorite.

"Mariah, she's actually done some events for us," Obama said. "I've gotten to know her and Nick (Cannon), she's a wonderful lady," he said. "Nicki I don't know, but I've got her on my iPod."

As you might remember, this isn't the first time Obama has spoken about Minaj; last month, he offered a relatively nuanced take on her allegedly pro-Romney lyrics.

I'm not sure that is actually what happened. I think she had a song on there, a little rap that said that... But, she likes to play different characters. So I don't know what's going on there.

We all look forward to his take on the Robert Pattinson-Kristen Stewart reunion.
