Poor Amanda Bynes. All the former child star wants to do is drive, but The Man keeps getting in her way.

And by "The Man," I mean other drivers.

Bynes, who is currently facing multiple charges for multiple hit-and-run accidents and a DUI, had her license suspended by the California Department of Motor Vehicles last week, according to the LA Times.

But Bynes refused to let a little thing like that interfere with her need for speed, so she got in her car and went for a nighttime ride around LA, until she was pulled over for driving with no headlights.

Curiously, the cops did not arrest Bynes for operating a motor vehicle without a license, though it's unclear why. The actress received a verbal warning and was allowed to leave the scene.

Maybe President Obama put in a good word for her.
