Nightfall in Philadelphia at the first-ever Made In America music festival. Some 150 yards from the Rocky statue on the Philadelphia Museum of Art steps, in a crowd of tens of thousands of young people in red, white and blue-themed tank tops, a group makes small talk. They are drinking $11 Budweisers at a Budweiser-sponsored event, waiting for headliner and curator Jay-Z to take the stage. The crowd is swelling and they are pushed up against the guardrail surrounding a fountain to the right of the Washington Monument. The group makes small talk.

EMMA
 I can't decide if I should come back tomorrow. You guys coming?


LIZ
 Maybe. Haven't decided yet.


CORBAN
 I doubt it. The only person I'd want to see is Drake, and honestly, he's such a corny performer that I'm not sure it's worth it.

Suddenly, a teetering young white man leans forward and into the group. They turn to him. He is about 20 years old, wearing a red tank top, a backwards baseball cap, and a single loop of mardi gras beads. He has been listening in. He jabs his finger out.

YOUNG DRUNK WHITE KID
 (defensively)
I think Drake's pretty good, for a black guy.
