Paul Ryan Agrees to Stop Using Twisted Sister Song: 'We're Not Gonna Play It Anymore'
Dee Snider of legendary heavy metal outfit Twisted Sister released a statement yesterday telling Paul Ryan's campaign to cease their use of his band's hit single "We're Not Gonna Take It."
"I emphatically denounce Paul Ryan's use of my song 'We're Not Gonna Take It' as recorded by my band Twisted Sister," Snider said in the statement. "There is almost nothing on which I agree with Paul Ryan, except perhaps the use of the P90X."
Ryan's camp promptly responded to Snider's request with a single line: "We're Not Gonna Play It anymore."
Snider follows in the footsteps of Rage Against the Machine guitarist Tom Morello, who recently quipped that Ryan was the machine against which his band raged. Romney also received a cease-and-desist of his own from the Silversun Pickups, who demanded he quit playing "Panic Switch" at rallies.
