Creepy Koch Brothers Upset With Zach Galifianakis for Calling Them 'Creepy'
Conservative fundraisers the Koch brothers don't make an appearance in political satire The Campaign, but the "Motch brothers" do.
If that's too subtle for you, star Zach Galifianakis spelled it out: it's "pretty obvious" the characters, played by Dan Aykroyd and John Lithgow, are based on the Koch brothers.
Galifianakis went on to say some less-than-nice things about the real-life duo, who are reportedly raising up to $400 million in anti-Obama funds.
I disagree with everything they do. They are creepy and there is no way around that. It's not freedom what they are doing.
Which is fair — but not something you want to hear if you're a Koch.
That's why the Koch brothers had a spokesperson respond to Galifianakis' slander.
We disagree with his uninformed characterization of Koch and our beliefs. His comments, which appear to be based on false attacks made by our political opponents, demonstrate a lack of understanding of our longstanding support of individual freedom, freedom of expression, and constitutional rights.
Boring. Throw in a Hangover II reference.
Maybe more to the point is that it's laughable to take political guidance or moral instruction from a guy who makes obscene gestures with a monkey on a bus in Bangkok.
There we go.
Notice that the Koch brothers' spokesperson never said they're not creepy, so perhaps that criticism still stands.
