Report: Sikh Temple Shooter was 40-Year-Old Army Vet with 9/11 Tattoo

A 40-year-old former Army soldier once stationed at Fort Bragg in North Carolina is the main suspect in yesterday's shooting at a Sikh temple in the Milwaukee suburb of Oak Creek.
Identified by Fox News sources as Wade Michael Page, the suspect was previously described by a temple member as a bald white man with a 9/11 tattoo on his arm.
Yesterday's shooting, which left 7 dead — including the gunman — and three wounded, is being treated by the FBI as an act of domestic terrorism.
Though the motive remains unclear, it is believed that the suspect may have been a white supremacist.
CNN notes that "because of their customary beards and turbans, Sikh men are often confused with Muslims," and cites the murder of Balbir Singh Sodhi, a Sikh man shot to death by aircraft mechanic Frank Roque in the aftermath of 9/11.
An official briefing on the investigation will be held this morning at 10 AM local time.
