Romney's Travel Press Secretary Tells Reporters to 'Kiss My Ass,' 'Shove It'
In an effort to improve tense relations between Mitt Romney's campaign and the press, the Republican candidate's travel press secretary Richard Gortka got in a loud fight with members of the media today.
Romney is currently in Poland as part of his international tour. As he was leaving an event at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, Romney ignored questions from the pool of reporters assembled. Gortka, with no trace of irony, told the media—
Kiss my ass. This is a holy site for the Polish people. Show some respect.
He ended the argument with the always effective, "Why don't you shove it?"
Reporters had noted that Romney has only taken three questions since his trip began. Fox News' Greta Van Susteren previously complained about the lack of access to the candidate, calling the press situation in Poland a "modified petting zoo."
Gortka later called two members of the media to apologize for being a dick.
