Federal Agents Stop Man Attempting to Smuggle Snickers Bars Stuffed with Meth
34-year-old Rogelio Harris was arrested at Los Angeles International Airport on Friday when a search of his suitcase by federal agents turned up 45 Snickers bars full of meth.
The former military policeman was on his way to board a Delta flight to Tokyo when he was stopped by the feds. Inside his luggage the agents found a box made to look as though it contained Snickers candy bars. The bars themselves consisted of cellophane-wrapped meth coated in "a chocolate-like substance."
Harris tested positive for marijuana last year leading to an "other than honorable discharge" from the Navy. His passport claimed he was travelling "on an official assignment for the United States Government," but when confronted admitted that he was not.
