The strings, the horns, the voice — in that order.

Cody ChesnuTT released one album in 2002, the sprawling The Headphone Masterpiece, which he recorded on a 4-track. And then: very little — some tracks here and there. A six-song EP in 2010 has been his greatest bit of output in the time since Masterpiece. That should change in October, when his proper sophomore release, Landing on a Hundred, is set to drop. Apparently, it will chronicle his "decade of womanizing & crack." Compelling inspiration. He's got a Kickstarter to help launch the disc. Contrary to his album's title, he's looking to land on $20,000.
