Warren Beatty and Annette Bening's 20-year-old son Stephen Ira Beatty was born Kathlyn. In the video above, he answers a survey from WeHappyTrans in an endearingly smarty-pants way. I mean, check out the intro: "My name is Stephen. I identify as a trans man, a faggy queen, a homosexual, a queer, a nerd fighter, a writer, an artist and a guy who needs a haircut."

My favorite thing he says, though, happens when he's discussing his style icons: "Any male-identified person who wears thigh-highs or garters: the world belongs to you."

He later goes on to describe his cut use of the word "insane" as ableist, so you know, he's very sensitive, but hopefully not overbearing about it.

Stephen popped up in the news last year when he called Chaz Bono "a misogynist who does not represent us" in a blog post. He was right about that, Chaz was talking some rancid bullshit ("I never understood women before...but I had a tolerance for women that I don't have now...There is something in testosterone that makes talking and gossiping really grating."). Keep fighting the good fight, Stephen.
