Warner Bros. Cancels Dark Knight Rises Paris Premiere, Scraps Press Conferences in Aftermath of Shooting
Warner Bros. has cancelled Friday's premiere of The Dark Night Rises in Paris and pulled the cast and director Christopher Nolan from media interviews following the Colorado shooting.
The studio addressed the tragedy in a statement Friday morning:
"Warner Bros. is deeply saddened to learn about this shocking incident. We extend our sincere sympathies to the families and loved ones of the victims at this tragic time."
The Hollywood Reporter writes that journalists present for a daytime press conference at a Paris hotel with Nolan, Christian Bale, Anne Hathaway, and Morgan Freeman were told to leave.
French actress Marion Cotillard was scheduled to appear for an interview this evening on France's most viewed news channel, TF1. Her appearance has also been cancelled.
The cast have not released statements to the press.
