Why do they always run?

An LAUSD teacher who is suspected of committing lewd acts with a child engaged in a high-speed chase with police today. It ended when he drove right off a hill.

Physical education teacher Kip Arnold is now in the hospital for his injuries. Before running, he told police that he wanted to kill himself, so his dramatic car chase conclusion may have been a suicide attempt.

LAUSD released the following statement—

Officials of the Los Angeles Unified School District have been notified by the Bell Police Department of the arrest of Kip Arnold, a physical education teacher at Southeast Middle School, on suspicion of lewd behavior with a former student, and possibly additional victims. He has been with the District eight years.

If Arnold isn't guilty, he has not made a great case for himself.
