It was a real shotgun wedding for newlyweds Eric and Maegan Walber who tumbled into Michigan's Gun Lake along with the rest of their wedding party when the dock they were standing on buckled and broke.

"We were out there for probably 30 seconds, standing on the dock, and it started to lean and tilt," Eric told a local NBC affiliate. He says he could sense what was coming, but by then it was too late to do anything but take the plunge — again.

"Your wedding party falls into a lake at your reception. You can't plan that," said Maegan, who told 24 Hour News 8 she specifically wanted to have the wedding reception at Bay Pointe Inn so she could have pictures taken on the lake.

And she'd do it again: "It makes for a good story," she said. "We'll be telling our grandkids."
