Supermarket Offers Free Groceries to First 100 Naked Shoppers
To promote its grand opening last week, a supermarket in Süderlügum on the German-Danish border offered as many free groceries as they could fit in their cart (up to €270) to the first 100 shoppers who showed up butt naked.
"I never thought a hundred people would come," said Supermarket manager Nils Sterndorff. "I thought maybe more like ten." All told, police put the number of eager shoppers lined up outside Priss at 250, most of them Danish.
The Danes are known for making regular trips to Germany to stock on cheap alcohol, so it's no surprise that many of the bare-bottomed prize winners went straight to the liquor aisle to stock up.
