During her Born This Wall Ball concert in Auckland yesterday singer Lady Gaga suffered a mild concussion after being struck by a stage prop.

One of Gaga's dancers was attempting to remove a pole, when he accidentally hit the entertainer over the head with it. Ever the consummate professional, Gaga emerged after a short respite backstage and the show went on.

"I want to apologize," she told the Kiwis in attendance before singing an additional 16 songs. "I did hit my head and I think I may have a concussion but don't you worry I will finish this show."

Gaga's makeup artist Tara Savelo later confirmed that Mother Monster did in fact sustain a concussion, but "is going to be okay."

Her tour continues on to Australia, where she is set to play 14 shows, starting with three consecutive concerts in Brisbane.
