Back in 1997, a grocery clerk in Oregon listed a classified ad in a survivalist magazine that read:
WANTED: Somebody to go back in time with me. This is not a joke. P.O Box 322, Oakview, CA 93022. You'll get paid when we get back. Must bring your own weapons. Safety not guaranteed. I have only done this once before.
Fifteen years later, first-time director Colin Trevorrow and the production company behind Little Miss Sunshine have teamed up to bring you Safety Not Guaranteed, the film adaption of the aforementioned classified.
Starring Parks & Recreation's Aubrey Plaza as a newspaper intern sent to investigate the mysterious ad, and Mark Duplass (Jeff, Who Lives at Home) as the man in question, Safety Not Guaranteed follows the pair as they prepare for a journey neither one could have predicted.
