Man Protests All-You-Can-Eat Restaurant After Getting Kicked Out for Eating Too Much
A Wisconsin man charged a local restaurant with false advertising after he was told to stop eating during an all-you-can-eat fish fry.
Bill Wisth, of Mequon, says he was getting ready to move on to his thirteenth piece of fish when Chuck's Place in Thiensville cut him off, claiming they were running out of food for the other patrons.
"Well, we asked for more fish and they refused to give us any more fish," he told local NBC affiliate TMJ 4.
Indignant, Wisth said he would not pay his bill until satiety had been achieved. The restaurant, which says Wisth's eating habits have caused problems before, offered to give the 350lb man eight additional pieces if he agreed to pay for his food.
Not content with less than all-he-could-eat, Wisth called the police, and later returned to the scene to protest his mistreatment. "I think that people have to stand up for consumers," he said.
This time the restaurant called the police on Wisth, and he was given a warning for disorderly conduct after violating protesting guidelines.
Wisth vowed to come back every Sunday to picket "until the restaurant rethinks what happened."
