Obama Makes Impromptu Stop At Boulder Burger Joint, Leaves with Stained Pants (UPDATE)
Stopping off somewhat spontaneously at popular University Hill hangout The Sink, President Obama was greeted with cheers from surprised patrons who hastily picked their teeth clean before the CIC stopped by their table to make small talk.
"We found out about 20 minutes or so before he showed up," said co-owner Mark Heinritz.
The Daily Camera reports that POTUS offered words of encouragement to a young woman who expressed interest in opening a cheese fries shop, and complimented an Australian man on his date.
For one female customer, however, the president's presence proved too much to handle: "She got very excited and spilled yogurt on me," Obama later said of the young lady. He took it in stride and wiped his pant leg clean, even offering the clumsy lass a positive spin on the incident: "Getting yogurt on the president, you've got a story to tell!"
After spending some thirty seconds with every one in the joint, Obama found a good spot on the Sink's famous low ceiling right next to a sketch by Diners, Drive-ins and Dives host Guy Fieri, signed his name, and left.
