The Weinstein Company and Columbia Pictures today unveiled the first teaser poster for Quentin Tarantino's Western film Django Unchained, and the only notable thing outside the Saul Bassian graphic is the fact that the name Django Unchained does not appear on the sheet. Could mean something, could mean nothing.

The film's official site was also launched today, and it too does not call the film by its given name. Hmm!

Anyway, "the new film by Quentin Tarantino" stars Jamie Foxx, a freed slave named Django who partners up with a bounty hunter (Christoph Waltz) before heading out in search of his wife (Kerry Washington), who is being held by a plantation owner played by Leonardo DiCaprio.

It's due out Christmas Day.
