Crowd at Santorum Rally Horrified When Two Dudes Kiss Each Other
Santorum's virgin eyes have been tarnished by sin — as a protest against the Republican presidential candidate's vehemently anti-gay policies, two men got the attention of the crowd at an Illinois rally and kissed each other. Guards removed the men from the gym as the crowd chanted "U-S-A." Because nothing is more American than repression.
Outside the rally there was also a protest, which was organized by LGBT activist Matt Muchowski through the Facebook page "Carmel Catholic Alumni Against Rick Santorum." Santorum attended the Catholic high school his senior year.
"We feel it is important to counter Santorum's anti-gay hate, to set an example to students," Muchowski said. "Rick sends a message of bullying, but we want high school students to know that other alumni send a message of equality."
The Illinois primary will be held Tuesday, with Santorum currently behind Republic frontrunner Mitt Romney. Many Santorum detractors have stressed that while his focus should be on the economy, he continues to place undue emphasis on the sanctity of the American family. And, of course, the gays.
