Gather round Grandpappy Romney, kids, and he'll tell you all about the day of the great Golden Jubilee, the 50th anniversary of the American automobile and a landmark event in Detroit history.

"My dad had a job being the grandmaster. They painted Woodward Ave. with gold paint," Romney remembers. Great memory to share with the good people of Michigan, if only Grandpappy Romney had been alive to remember it. Unfortunately, the Golden Jubilee took place on June 1, 1946, just about nine months before he was born.

To Romney: the act of constantly placing one's foot inside of one's mouth, causing those around them to suffer insane "contact embarrassment."
