Whitney Houston's sudden death on Saturday has had producers of the Grammys scrambling to include a fitting last-minute tribute. Fellow diva (as christened by VH1) Jennifer Hudson will be performing "I Will Always Love You" at tonight's ceremony, but according to The Hollywood Reporter, she is having a trouble holding herself together.

A Grammy crew member tells The Hollywood Reporter that Hudson was "crying and had to keep pausing" to collect herself during the Sunday afternoon rehearsal (the show kicks off at 5 p.m. PST). "She was having a hard time getting through the song, especially on the second run-through."

The tribute will include other notable performers — including Chaka Khan — although the full line-up has not been announced.

Grammys producer Ken Ehrlich said that it was necessary to work some sort of tribute into the broadcast.

It's too fresh in everyone's memory to do more at this time, but we would be remiss if we didn't recognize Whitney's remarkable contribution to music fans in general, and in particular her close ties with the Grammy telecast and her Grammy wins and nominations over the years.
