Are you a total news junkie? Do you know Gawker's voice inside and out? Would you willingly—and more importantly, would you happily—spend hours glued to a computer screen scouring the internet for the newsworthy and noteworthy?

Gawker is looking for interns for the upcoming spring semester. You'll learn what makes the site tick, how to pull together information for editors, and how to pitch, research, and promote stories. The ideal candidate is a quick learner who is good with computers, the internet, and has an interest in the world of blogging and journalism (and all of Gawker's other obsessions). Photoshop experience, video editing skills, and a passing knowledge of Chet Haze is a huge, huge plus.

We are looking for two to three interns during the day and possibly one intern to help out at night. The internship is for several months, starting in February. You must be able to work from our office in New York City. College internship credit is available to those who qualify. Please email a resume and a brief explanation of why you should be selected to Leah@gawker.com. The subject line should read, Gawker Intern Spring 2012. No attachments please! The deadline is January 5th.
