The Mail is About to Get Even Slower

The slow, tortuous death of the U.S. Postal Service continues with news that mail will arrive slower than ever come this spring. (Seriously? There's a way to do that?) Even the old-fashioned luxury of seeing a stamped letter arrive within 24 hours of sending it will become a thing of the past.
The cuts, $3 billion in total, will close half the 500 mail processing centers nationwide. That should hold off the USPS death rattle a little longer, but as for a long-term plan, well, they're toast.
And not just them! Netflix is toast. Magazines are toast. And you're toast, especially if you were waiting for a check to arrive in time to pay rent. [AP, Photo via AP]
