On Sunday, a man standing outside the train station in Gothenburg, Sweden, "suddenly caught on fire," according to a witness. Police have no idea who he is. Welcome to another weekend in the country that brought you Girl With the Dragon Tattoo!

Swedish people like to pretend that their country is not the hive of bizarre gruesome crimes that its finest thriller writers would like to believe. But it totally is! A dude just burst into flames! A mysterious dude!

"All we know is that it's a man. We have no knowledge of his identity, nor of his age or any motive or even the circumstances of the incident," said police officer Åsa Andersson to local paper Göteborgs-Posten (GP)

According to eye witness accounts, the man was standing outside a record shop at the central train station around 10.30pm, when he suddenly caught on fire.

"He just stood there burning outside the shop. After a while he started screaming. There were a few people about but they just watched him. I ran up to him, tore my coat off and managed to put the fire out together with another guy," a tram driver who had been returning from break, told the paper.

Police don't believe that "foul play" is involved. Sure.
