Noted actor, activist and formal toe-shoe-wearer Danny Glover fired up the crowd at the Occupy L.A. protests on Saturday.

"We have to stand up as our brothers and sisters have stood up," he preached. "In Haiti. In Tiananmen Square. In Egypt. We will stand up and accept nothing less than a change! Right now! For the future of our children, and the children of the world. We have to stand up for the precious Mother Earth...We don't need weekend warriors. We need 24/7 warriors!"

Glover was arrested in 2010 at a labor union protest in Maryland. Wikipedia has a fairly comprehensive rundown of his various causes and accomplishments. [via LAist]
