South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley, in what was eerily like the product of a micromanager's latest, dreaded "Aha!" moment, has ordered all state workers to answer the phone with this greeting line from now on: "It's a great day in South Carolina. How can I help you?" Cute! Hmm.

This sounds much like the sort of thing that the humorless, tone-deaf shift manager at your first summer job in the hamburger shop or whatever would instruct you to say. Haley, according to The State, claims, that "the change will boost the morale of state workers." Ha! Nikki Haley clearly has many years of experience as a hamburger shop shift manager.
