Who better to film the epic tale of the ancient Jewish warrior Judah Maccabbee than Mel Gibson, who thinks "the Jews are responsible for all the wars in the world"?

Yes, according to noted Jew Jeffrey Goldberg, who seems to have gotten a real kick out of hanging out with Mel "Fucking Jews" Gibson, Gibson's next project is a historical epic about Maccabee, whose revolt against the Greeks and Romans in 166 B.C. inspired the story of Hanukkah. The thinking here has to be something along the lines of, "Here you go, fucking Jews. I made a movie about one of you. Can I have my career back now?"
