Puerto Rico Sen. Roberto Arango resigned last night following a sex scandal involving images from his profile on gay hook-up site Grindr.

Arango—who once campaigned for George W. Bush and opposed gay adoption rights and sexual harassment laws—is a pioneer in the field of lame political sexcuses: Confronted with digital self-portraits of his naked torso and splayed buttocks, Arango explained, "You know I've been losing weight.
