Unpopular 1990s politician Newt Gingrich likes to hit all the big early presidential primary stops: Istanbul, the Greek Islands, California, California again, and Hawaii. Yes, Newt Gingrich appears to be going on a working vacation again, to "fundraise" during the week of his wedding anniversary.

Newt and Callista Gingrich, who at this point (and all points, ever, really) are just using this so-called presidential campaign to build whatever publicity they can for their conservative D-movie company, Gingrich Productions, are heading out to California to attend a screener of their latest masterwork, Nine Days that Changed the World — a Zapruder film about their Mediterranean cruise, maybe.

Then it's off to Hawaii, for a whole two events spread across four days.

Saturday, August 20th

Wailuku, HI - 5:30 p.m. PT. Newt will join the Maui GOP for a meeting with local activists at the Door of Faith Church located at 432 Waiehu Beach Rd.

Monday, August 23rd

Makawao, HI - 7:30 a.m. PT - Newt will discuss the American founding with the students at Seabury Hall prepatory school. The school is located at 480 Olinda Road.

He's going to shake down those pineapple preppies for money, he is.

If you, the member of Gawker's Hawaii brigade, happen see Newt and Cally Gingrich traipsing about on the beaches of Maui during the next week, please let us know.
