Not but two weeks ago we received the grim news that three of musical teensplosion Glee's lead actors — Chris Colfer, Lea Michele, and Corey Monteith — will be leaving the show after this season. Everyone was so upset! But maybe now that's not happening?

Yes, maybe not. For some completely mystifying reason some of the Glee jerks did a panel at Comic-Con this weekend (I guess because they are all comic-like cartoon people?) and at the panel show writer Brad Falchuk said this:

Here's the exact thing: they are seniors, so they're graduating, but because they're graduating doesn't mean they're leaving the show. If you have Lea Michele under contract, you don't say, "We're gonna let you go." [...] It was never our plan or our intention to let them go…. They are not done with the show after this season.

Aha! So the characters will graduate, but maybe they'll all lamely stick around Ohio doing cameos at the glee club concerts like real-life weirdos who never leave their hometowns. I could believe it! Maybe Lea Michele's Rachel will fall into her inevitable drinking problem a little earlier than expected, so she'll spend most of her time wandering around in a turban singing mournful Sunset Boulevard numbers. And then of course Corey Monteith's Finn will get beer-bloated and unambitious and will work at the movie theater and sing Ben Folds' tunes. And Chris Colfer's gay song-angel Kurt will wander the alleyways of Lima, OH singing soft Janis Ian melodies while giving nickel blowjobs to passing truckers. We'd all watch that show, right?

But yeah, I guess they're dragging this shit out even though they said a while back that they wouldn't. Oh well. Chord Overstreet's still off the show, which :( [TV Line]
