An Awesome Animated Revision of the Mad Men Theme Song
The traditional opening credits for Mad Men are all angst and existential brooding over ominous music, but what if the theme song were more like something you'd listen to at a swinging '60s cocktail party? Now we know what it would be like.
Paul Rogers took some music that a bunch of hip cats would listen to while doing the pony on a shag carpet (am I getting my decades mixed up?) and added some great animation in a retro-'60s style. It might be a little bit of a time-period overload, but the jarringly optimistic tone of the opening would have a strange juxtaposition with the content of the show. This is what the theme of the show would have looked like if it aired after My Mother The Car, and what's not to dig about that?
