Swiss pilot Konrad Schmidt was angry at his mother for divorcing his father. So, he decided to try to kill her by flying a small plane into her house. That's bad enough, but did he really have to end his life with a pun?

According to the New York Post:

"Are you home, Mom? I'm just about to drop in," Konrad Schmidt, 47, called from the cockpit before plunging the plane into his mother's first-floor bedroom on Sunday.

Konrad died, but his mother, who was in the basement, survived. She probably emerged into the wreckage and said to herself, "I knew the housing market crashed, but this is ridiculous!"
