What was former IMF chief Dominique Strauss-Kahn up to on the weekend he was arrested for sexually assaulting a hotel worker? Why, just "[blowing] off steam before the French presidential race" by having sex with three women!

This is all according to an anonymous friend of Strauss-Kahn's wife Anne Sinclair, so take it, as they say, avec un grain de sel plus grand que Versailles. But Strauss-Kahn is said to have engaged in sex activity with three ladies over his big New York weekend before allegedly assaulting a woman at his hotel:

DSK confessed to his wife he "had" a trio of lovers as he blew off steam before the French presidential race, according to an unnamed friend of spouse Anne Sinclair, who was quoted in Le Point magazine.

"So, it wasn't just one for the road before the presidential campaign," Sinclair's friend said. "It was three."

One of the three for the road appears to be the "mystery woman" who visited his hotel room early in the morning—described by the New York Post as "a secret girlfriend who works in banking." The other two? Who knows! Probably agents of Nicolas Sarkozy!
